Michael Hort

Michael is the vice president of the printing company Earth Enterprises, known for its commitment to environmental-friendly production. In 1995, Michael, along with his wife Susan, their children, and close friends, established the Foundation in honor of their daughter, Rema. Michael and Susan are avid contemporary art collectors celebrated for their bold collection of undiscovered and emerging artists, and for the true patronage of artists that they collect.

Peter Hort

Peter is a Judge and lawyer in New York, as well as a prolific collector of contemporary art and a strong advocate for emerging artists. As Rema’s brother, Peter was one of the founding members of the Foundation and remains largely involved in both the Emerging Artist and Quality of Life Grant programs, and works closely with the director on the day-to-day operations of the Foundation.

David Biro MD, PhD

David is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate. He also teaches in the medical humanities and is the author of two acclaimed books: One Hundred Days: My Unexpected Journey from Doctor to Patient and The Language of Pain: Finding Words, Compassion, and Relief. David works closely with the Foundation’s Quality of Life Grant program and oversees the approval of these grants to patients. David was a close friend of Rema’s, and a founding member of the Foundation.

Tal Weitzman

Tal is a business consultant, computer expert, and one of the founding members of the RHMF Quality of Life Grant committee. Tal continues to serve an integral advisory role to the Foundation in its operations, especially with the Foundation’s online presence.

Stanley and Gail Hollander

Stanley and Gail head the RHMF LA Artist Initiative and, since 2012, have been instrumental in the establishment of the Foundation on the west coast. Stanley, the chairman of the advisory board at First Foundation, Inc., and Gail, who also currently serves on the board of LAX ART, are avid contemporary art collectors of emerging and mid-career artists in Los Angeles and abroad.

Carole Server Frankel

Carole is a contemporary art collector and former Wall Street Executive. She, along with her husband, Oliver, is a champion for emerging and contemporary arts in New York and abroad. In addition to RHMF, Carole serves on the board of the Bronx Museum of Art and is a member of the Director’s Council of the Whitney Museum of American Art, Director’s Circle of MOMA PS1 and the Producer Council of the New Museum of Contemporary Art.

Robin Lipson

Along with serving on the board of the RHMF, Robin is the founder of the New Jersey Museum of Contemporary Art, the first institution of its kind in the state. A major supporter for emerging artists, Robin serves an advisory role on the board, working with the Foundation with development and outreach.
